What is the idea ?

Use of 9 gallon casks for a 'fee per fill'.

A modest fleet of  beer casks will be made available for established smaller brewers to send into the wholesale market, on a ‘fill and forget’ basis. For this, the brewer pays a fee per cask filled, and notifies ‘ECasks’ which wholesaler he has delivered the full casks to.

The brewers will still have their own casks, which they will use for local ‘direct deliveries’ to pubs and some wholesale trade. Essentially, ECasks will provide a 'top up' facility, especially in the early stages of our business development.

 Basic Concepts

bulletOnly for use in the wholesale trade. See the 'fair use' agreement for list of permitted networks / wholesalers
bulletAll the casks to be collected back from wholesalers by ‘ECasks’ (wholesalers will deliver to pubs, and pickup from pubs, as normal).
bulletAll casks will be cleaned and checked by ECasks after every trip.
bulletBrewers must sign up to a ‘fair use’ policy before becoming customers.
bulletCasks will be heavily branded, to allow easier recovery by ECasks.
